Last night, I had the opportunity to share the stage with family, friends, and an exceptional guitarist I had never really heard before.
What a night! I am a member of a Celtic/World music quartet called Mithril and we had the opportunity to open up a show for an amazing guitarist by the name of Billy McLaughlin. If you have heard of Billy then you know his story. If you have not heard of Billy, then you owe it to yourself to visit his website (www.billymclaughlin.com) and read about his battle with Focal Dystonia. The man is a true example of saying I “Don’t Know How to Die,” and then not allowing a disease or disorder to destroy life.
You can also read the review of last night’s concert online. Thomas Harrison, the Arts Editor for the Mobile Register attended the concert and had some kind words to say about the night and all of the musicians who took the stage. Read the review here.
