Student Recording Project #2 = Silly Microphone Tests!

Recording Project Number Two - 08-2010

The Rhythm Center offered a series of “miniature” group lessons this Summer and at the end of the summer session we decided to do some recording projects. Here is a podcast about the second recording project we did in the studio. The musicians in this recording are two young men who worked together throughout the summer. These young men started the summer a bit timid but as each lesson passed they became more and more extroverted. Every student I had this summer kept me smiling and laughing with their humorous personalities. I like to call this project the “Testing Testing Tap Tap Tap,” project.

Student Recording Project #1 = Tons of Fun!

As summer classes drew to a close and the school year approached The Rhythm Center turned into a private recording studio for my students. The podcast attached to this post includes Recording Project #1. The musicians performing on this project are two young brothers who started percussion lessons two months ago. These young men kept me laughing a great deal over the last few weeks. I like to call this project the “Rock On!” project. You’ll hear why when you listen to the podcast.

Who Says Daycare is All Play and No Education?

A few months back I received a phone call from Sally Cornelson, Director of Joyland Daycare. She had the idea of offering her children a summer drum camp.
